The Months

The months are considered proper nouns in the Maltese language, meaning that they should always start with a capital letter.

As they are proper nouns they do not take articles, and particles are shortened.

Example:

F' Ottubru - In October

Sa Frar - Until February

Għal Mejju - By May

When referring to a specific date, the month is preceded by the word 'ta'', meaning 'of' .
